MINI MUSCLES WOULD LIKE TO THANK MACALISTER TODD  PHILIPS  FOR THEIR GENEROUS OFFER OF PERFORMING ALL LEGAL WORK  REQUIRED TO ESTABLISH  MINI MUSCLES AS AN INCORPORATED SOCIETY-FREE OF CHARGE-THANK YOU

Hi all, our latest news on becoming an incorporated society is that we are hoping to wrap it all up by March 31st and continue on afterwards as an inc. society. Still waiting to hear from Mac, Todd Philips as to where they are up to but I have decided we will wait no more and start On April 1st. There will be a few changes along the way. Firstly, all the people who offerred their services as committee members can you please email me to confirm your interest. We would also like names of people for each of the 4 areas to be a parent rep. You would not have to attend meetings but I would chat with you before hand or take anything to report by email. If you are interested in being on committee please message me privately, meetings will be once per term and it may be possible to use  a skype system if you cannot make the meeting, this will also allow reps from each of the 4 areas. Changes will be to the pricing structure for Alexandra, Queenstown and Wanaka where we hold full sets of equipment.  $40 annual membership fee, to cover $1 for every week we are open during the year, this will keep your entry fee to $5 per family. This will go towards maintenance and upkeep of the equipment which has had no repair since 2002. It is important that people who participate in the running of the classes are paid for their services and with a little extra revenue this will be possible and ensure the continuation of all classes. If you do not wish to pay the membership fee you can attend classes for a casual fee of $8.00 per family. Families who have concession cards will have from now until the end of March to use them, you can also gift sessions to friends if you cannot use them all yourself, if you already have a card you can continue with it once your new membership fee has been paid.  All feedback and questions are welcome, further details to follow.

WHAT IS MINI MUSCLES?

Mini Muscless is a fun movement  hour for parents to attend with their infant, toddler or preschooler. Sessions are based on free choice for children and we offer ideas to parents that will help them support their childs physical development. We offer music and movement as part of the class and children are welcome to join in if they wish. Physical movement plays an important role in early childhood education and is necessary for your infant's brain development. You will learn how your new baby's movement, supports this growth. We introduce you to ideas from specialists and theorists and help you to answer all those questions that you have, about your childs physical development as they grow. We have mums, dads, nannies and grandparents who come and enjoy our sessions, everyone is welcome.

A FRIENDLY REMINDER- MINI MUSCLES IS FOR THE WELL CHILD

Please keep your child away if they have a runny nose and remember your child needs to be free of runny poo or vomiting for 2 days before it is safe for them to be around other children. Viruses and germs spread quickly in warm rooms.

GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS

Parents and Caregivers

Please help keep Mini Muscles  a fun place for children to come.  You are responsible for your child within this environment and you need to have them in your sight at all times. If you are involved in a conversation with another adult, position yourself so that you can see your child and that you can step into help if needed. Children cannot see through groups of parents standing talking in the middle of the room, grouping like this can block their view of equipment and activities. If your child is participating during group music time, please support them to do so by keeping this time a chat free zone for adults in order for the children to gain the most from the activities they enjoy. One hour of your week is a short time to devote  your attention to your child's amazing developing skills. Mini Muscles is for the enjoyment of you and your child together

Thanks for your consideration

If you or anyone you know has an interest in leading a class please contact me. Y fou will need to be physically fit, have experience or training in early childhood and working with families, knowledge of physical development, music and movement, health and wellbeing. You must be unflappable, strong and have a great smile and be completely unfazed by large noisy groups of adults and children! Most of all you need to be able to have fun when interacting with children and be able to offer parents supportive, sound advice on their child's development:)
